Release 2021_008 (2021-03-15)¶

Impact¶

[NixOS 20.09] Various restarts may be required due to changed kernel options and service dependencies.
[NixOS 20.09] Jitsi will be restarted and conferences will not be available for some seconds.

NixOS 20.09 platform¶

Remove docsplit package which was already disabled on 20.09.
Jitsi: improve startup reliability. The videobridge sometimes didn't register correctly which required a manual restart (#PL-129725).
Port our NixOS platform for running our physical infrastructure, starting with the backup servers. This also includes minor improvements for VMs (#PL-127635).
